Mini Marathon Eleven Years

14-01-2020 Gyanodaya. The eleventh Mini Marathon Elever was successfully organized by Gurukul-Gyanodaya in collaboration with Sahodaya and Sponsors (MyCem Cement) The total number of participants was 1700. It is a 'healthy' sign that the number of participants has been increasing every year. There were many participants from Sagar in the open category. The whole event was conducted smoothly. All the teachers and staff members took up their respective charge by 7:30. At the checkpoints teachers and staff were ready with tokens, entry lists, medical kits, water pouches. The race started at around 8:45 and concluded around 9:45. The high energy level of sports teachers Mr. Amit Yadav and Mr. Padam was quite evident. They had made themselves almost omnipresent from Naykan Hall to the Play Ground. In the Naykan Hall, the participants took their T-Shirts and Number Tags from Mr. Akhilesh Jain, Mr. P. Diwakar. The participants were made to sit in the hall according to their groups. In this many teachers helped including H.M. Mrs. Deepti Tiwari. The over energized Jr. Boys required special attention of teachers minding them. Sana Madam and Diwakar Sir kept instructing the participants about their respective routes and the rules to be observed. Principal, Mr. Vinay Agrawal started the race with the help of Sports Teacher Mr. Amit Yadav and other staff members including Gurukul teachers. The participants were flagged off group by group from the school play ground. After completion, the first ten participants from each group were received in the hall, and their certificates were prepared ; while others assembled in the basketball court for closing ceremony and prize distribution. Mr. Vinay Agrawal in assistance of Mr. P. Diwakar got the Prizes distributed by Dr.Ashutosh Mishra of Dr Hari Singh Gour University & the representatives of Mycem Cement and other well wishers. The last part of the closing ceremony was even more exciting for which all were eagerly waiting, i.e., the Lucky Draw. Many successful participants were lucky to receive the cash prize amidst resounding applause. The programme ended with snacks and tea at the hostel mess.
