Teacher's Day : A Memorable Event
5-09-2018 Gyanodaya. Teacher's Day was celebrated with great joy and zest in an all pervading cheerful atmosphere. Students attended the celebration in large numbers reflecting their love and respect for their teachers.
The day's celebration began with the morning assembly, which was dedicated to the teachers. The morning assembly was followed by a skit and group performance making the atmosphere even more lively.
After the assembly, the students went to their respective classes for attendance. Some students utilized the time to decorate the class or the blackboard. A senior class utilized the time learning phonetics using the smart board.
For the second part of celebration, students again gathered in Nykan Hall after having a short brake. The occasion was graced by the benign presence of Honorable Chairman, Mr. Dharmendra Seth, his wife Mrs. Abha Seth and a Special Guest of Honour, Mr. Swadesh Chandji Jain. All of them were invited along with the Principal Mr. Vinay Agrawal and senior teachers Mr. P. Dewakar and Mr. Akhilesh Jain for lamp lighting, and garlanding the picture of Dr. Sarvapalli Radhakrisnan.
Seth Ji introduced the guest of honour Mr. Swadesh Chandji Jain. The elderly gentleman was draped in unstitched Cotton and looked like a Jain Saint. He started his studies at the age of 22. Later, he got job in Gurukul as a Hindi teacher and retired as Principal of the school. While working as a teacher he took to tailoring for extra income. He earned a name as a hard working best Hindi teacher. Speaking on the importance of Education, Seth Ji termed his life as 'rags to riches'. Today he enjoys his life visiting various Jain temples and institutions spread over the country while his sons and grand children are well placed.
Speaking on the occasion, the guest of honour Mr. Swadesh Chandji Jain emphasized that teaching is a noble profession and should never be equated with money. Irrespective of all the difficulties of life a teacher must serve the children with dedication and sincerity. He also thanked Seth Ji's incessant approach towards overall development of the school.
Principal, Mr. Vinay Agrawal extended his thanks to all the distinguished guests and reminded the teachers to work with more devotion with the sole purpose of bringing positive change in the life of students.
The audience enjoyed inter-house musical performance, while the teachers received token gifts. The gift distribution was done by Seth Ji, His wife, Mr. Swadesh Chandji Jain and Mr. Vinay Agrawal with the help of Mr. Diwakar and student volunteers.
The whole programme was conducted compered by the students of class XII with the help of teachers.
The last part of the programme, 'Fun Games', was conducted in the basket ball ground by student volunteers with the help of Mr. Amit Yadav. The student volunteers ensured participation of all the teachers in some or the other item; they even invited Principal Sir who readily participated in sack race and three legged race. Students enjoyed and cheered their favourite teachers. Student volunteers even imparted their 'expert advice' to their favourite teachers to win the games. The whole programme was a grand success where everyone enjoyed the fruits of proper planning.
